2017 Clinics

In 2017, the SoCal League will be hosting several one day pre-season clinics. All clinics  are run by licensed NICA coaches and are designed to balance learning and fun.

Pre-season race clinics:

The SoCal League new racer clinic is focused on middle (grades 6-8) and high (grades 9-12) school aged student-athletes interested in trying out interscholastic cross-country mountain biking. You will need a mountain bike in working condition, a helmet, closed toed shoes, a water bottle or hydration pack, a sack lunch, and the willingness to have fun and learn!

We will review fundamental mountain bike skills and take you through some of the things you might see should you decide to take part in a SoCal League race (if you’ve done a little bit of riding but have never raced this is the perfect clinic for you). No charge to participate for riders who are RACE READY in the Pit Zone though each venue has a small gate fee and SPACE IS LIMITED so you MUST REGISTER to reserve a space (click the clinic to launch the registration page)!

All clinics will be from 8:00 AM through 2:00 PM. Riders should bring a sack lunch. We send out an email with all the info the Thursday ahead of each clinic to all registered riders.
