Mammoth Mountain July 9-14, 2017
Summer 2017 marks the third year that SoCal Summer Camp is being held at Mammoth Mountain! Dates are Sunday July 9 – Friday July 14. Summer 2016 we had over 50 student-athletes attend from the SoCal, NorCal, Arizona, Texas, Idaho, and Georgia Leagues. We had a ball and are doing the same THIS summer!
We will have both residential and day camping options but spaces for each are fixed (in other words, a fixed number of male and female residential and day camp slots and when they sell out they’re gone).
Camp is open to any incoming 9th through incoming 12th grade student-athlete who has participated in at least one season with any NICA league (if you were a middle school rider who finished 8th grade in June you’re an “incoming freshman”). While there are no specific performance requirements for the camp it will include many epic rides over challenging terrain at elevation. If a rider was regularly time cut at the races they will find the riding too rigorous which will compromise their ability to enjoy the week.
*** Registration is now open and is first come first served! ***
Camp costs are as follows:
- Residential camp through 01/31/17 = $900
- Day camp through 01/31/17 = $500
- Residential camp through 03/31/17 = $1000
- Day camp through 03/31/17 = $600
- Residential camp through 05/31/17 = $1100
- Day camp through 05/31/17 = $700
- Residential camp after 06/01/17 = $1200
- Day camp after 06/01/17 = $800
Mammoth is offering discounted lodging for families wishing to come for vacation during our camp. Please see camp paperwork for those details.
Camp staff includes SoCal League Director Matt Gunnell and SoCal League Associate Director Brandon La Rue as well as experienced and licensed NICA coaches from SoCal and other NICA leagues. Campers will be grouped by gender and approximate skill level and then matched with coaches who serve as counselors.
